Dr Nicholas Fardon trained at St Thomas’s Hospital (UMDS) in London, qualifying in 1989. He completed his nephrology training at Portsmouth Hospital (Wessex Renal & Transplant Unit) having also worked in nephrology at St Helier Hospital, Carshalton and in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. He was appointed as a consultant nephrologist at the Sheffield Kidney Institute in March 2002. His clinical interest is in interventional nephrology, including complex vascular access, percutaneous Tenckhoff catheter insertion and kidney biopsy.
