Professor Meguid El Nahas
Professor of Nephrology, University of Sheffield
Professor El Nahas was born in Cairo, Egypt and undertook his undergraduate medical education in Geneva, Switzerland. His postgraduate studies took him to Boston (MGH and Harvard), London (Hammersmith Hospital and Royal Postgraduate Medical School) and Paris (Hopital Tenon). He is currently Professor of Nephrology at the University of Sheffield and the Sheffield Kidney Institute. He has an outstanding record of teaching and research and has been awarded the Roscoe Robinson award by the International Society of Nephrology in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the global education of nephrologists.
